Many teachers, lecturers and assistant manage to drag themselves through the school year, from break to break. Living for the holidays and struggling during term time. That’s exhausting and obviously not a healthy positive way to live. We all deserve it to ourselves to take the best care we can of ourselves.

Teachers especially deserve a break as they have to give so much of themselves everyday. It’s a highly demanding job on many levels and so it’s inevitable teaching staff will get worn down and exhausted if they don’t actively do something to help them feel better. Instead of burning out through over work, anxiety and too much stress – we can find another way.

Why do teachers benefit from hypnotherapy?

Therapy is just self care – it gets us into the most effective place, so we can cope better and not overthink, or lean on addictions. Hypnotherapy is one of the easiest and most relaxing forms of therapy, while still being highly effective. Teachers often spend a lot of time in ‘survival mode‘ and lose direction. Normal becomes feeling stressed, catastrophising and running on empty. Hypnotherapy can help increase self confidence and self esteem and enable us to feel stronger emotionally. We forget that we can feel and think entirely differently when we get clarity again by getting into our rational brain, which hypnotherapy helps with.

  • We start by looking at where you are, what major worries, trauma’s or griefs you may still be carrying so I know what needs to be addressed or resolved.
  • In the same session we look at how you want to be feeling and thinking instead, and I use the information to create a specific plan to meet your needs.
  • I explain a bit about how your brain works and how we can make the changes you want.
  • In the second session we start the treatment – solution focused psychotherapy and hypnotherapy which means we focus on getting you how you want to be feeling, and NOT on the problem.
  • I’ll help you get into a more positive mindset, notice your positives more and give you tools to help you stay there.
  • You need to be willing to take small steps to move yourself to the goal you want for yourself, which you will set.
