What is trance or hypnosis like?
We are all familiar with trance and go in and out of it naturally many times each day when driving or watching tv. It’s that state when you are drifting off to sleep or waking up – perfectly natural. You remain fully conscious and in complete control throughout. During trance the brain processes information which results in increased focus, concentration and self-awareness after sessions. Trance work helps rewire your brain to make the positive changes you want.
What happens in the first hypnotherapy session?
I am passionate about supporting people to get the best out of their lives and overcome their difficulties. I’ve found hypnotherapy’s highly effective at helping people to make the changes needed to get what they want out of life. It helps you to control stress, anxiety and fears, self-criticism and beat depression. Hypnotherapy also enables you to beat smoking, addictions, low confidence or phobias.

What’s Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH)
It means this treatment is all about the future. I focus on you making positive changes and moving forward, and it’s not about the past. Many therapies focus on the problem, but that is rarely where the solution is. Also focusing on the problem is often upsetting as well as unhelpful – having to relive the painful part. SFH is positive, relaxing and very effective. It combines the latest understanding of the brain, with trance work, psychotherapy, NLP and CBT.
Hypnotherapy is effective and results may vary – and success is not guaranteed. Full client commitment is important, and the client needs to want to make the changes they seek.
COST: Sessions for adults (16+) cost £60 and last 45-55 minutes. Children and young people’s sessions are slightly shorter so cost £50, lasting 30-40 minutes. Quit smoking sessions are a one-off session lasting up to two hours and cost £140. Payment via BACS (bank transfer), cash or cheque (in advance or at each session).
WORKING HOURS; Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, evenings and Saturday mornings available by arrangement.
